Holy Week

Palm Sunday – Sunday, March 28

Palm Procession at St. Paul’s – 9am Gather with the St. Paul’s community for a glad-hearted procession led by the children & their families around the church campus, Online or RSVP at this link to attend in person

Holy Eucharist for Palm Sunday   11am
Celebrate Christ’s entry into Jerusalem at St. Paul’s with a festive liturgy. Online

Tenebrae – Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday March 29 – 31 – 7:30pm

Ancient, reflective evening prayers of the church for the first part of Holy Week, preparing us for the great three days of the Triduum.

Maundy Thursday Evening Eucharist – Thursday, April 1 – 7:30pm

The Maundy Thursday liturgy, marked by foot-washing and the institution of the Eucharist. Remain online and keep watch with the Maundy Thursday Vigil – quiet reflection until midnight. Online

Good Friday Services – Friday, April 2

Stations of the Cross – Noon
Video presentation of our St. Paul’s stations with readings and music. Online

Solemn liturgy of Good Friday – 7:30pm. Service includes the Passion sung by the St. Paul’s Adult Choir. Online

The Great Vigil of Easter. Holy Saturday April 3 – 7:30 pm

Join in online to celebrate the principal liturgy of the church year. This service is an extended reflection on the salvation story, culminating in the joyous first Eucharist of Easter Day Online

Easter Day Sunday, April 4, 11am

Alleluia! Christ is risen! Celebrate Easter at St. Paul’s via a livestreamed festive Holy Eucharist. Following the service, gather on Zoom with the St. Paul’s community for a joyful, online brunch. Wear your best Easter hat! Online and on Zoom

Easter Egg Hunt – Sunday, April 11, 3pm

Kids of all ages are invited to gather on the front lawn of the church for an Easter Egg Hunt. In person, RSVP required at this link

 

Lent Programming

Distribution of Ashes – Wednesday, February 17, 11 am – noon and 6-7 pm

“Ashes-to-Go” at St. Paul’s will be available in advance of the online liturgies in a safe, drive-through manner, with imposition and prayers at each vehicle.
Ashes for self-imposition are also available for pickup – Sunday, February 14 at the 4 pm service and Tuesday , February 16 from noon to 2 pm.

Ash Wednesday Services 12:05pm and 7:30pm

The traditional Ash Wednesday liturgies which will include hymns, anthems, and the self-imposition of ashes. Online

Friday Evening Prayer-on-the-Green

Five Fridays in Lent: February 19, 26, March 5, 12, 19 at 5:30pm
Join the combined congregations of St. Paul’s and First Congregational Church for a half-hour outdoor sunset prayer service beginning at the St. Paul’s prayer wall. Following the service, we will break our fast with hot cross buns! Arrive before 5:30pm and we will walk together to the gazebo in the Green to join in prayer.

Monday Night Book Study

Five Mondays in Lent: Monday, February 22, March 1, 8, 15, 22 at 7pm
Join Fr. Daniel and St. Paul’s parishioners in an hour-long, small-group book discussion each week in Lent based on Presiding Bishop Michael Curry’s new book Love is the Way. Join in the Zoom conversation beginning next week by purchasing the book, available for preview and purchase at this link.

Lent Retreat – Saturday, February 27, 9:30 – noon

Enter prayerfully into the season of Lent with a dedicated time of reflection led by Fr. Daniel from the church. The retreat will alternate brief presentation, group sharing and solo reflection time. In person, RSVP required at this link; or online via Zoom at this link

Loving our Neighbor – Saturday, February 27, 10am – Noon

Bring items to share with your neighbors to a drive-through drop off at St. Paul’s, which will benefit Norwalk Mutual Aid.

Preferred items include new personal hygiene items (toothpaste, deodorant, shampoo, feminine products, etc.) to help stock the store. Gently used winter items (winter clothes, boots, blankets, etc.) are also welcome. In person

February Friendship – Kids’ Event – Sunday, February 28 3pm

Kids of all ages will gather around a bonfire for s’mores, crafts and outdoor fun. In Person, RSVP required at this link
