Accessibility

St. Paul’s believes in a Radical Welcome for all people, no matter their race, gender, sexuality, socioeconomic status, or ability. If you would like to schedule a visit to our grounds and have any concerns about accessing our campus or participating in our worship or events, please reach out to our church office (admin@stpaulsnorwalk.org or 203-847-2806) to let us know how we can better welcome you.

When you do come by, please feel free to call, or to drop by the Chittim-Howell House office, and we’ll be happy to give you directions around our campus!

For folks with trouble hearing our services, our ushers can provide you with listening devices that will amplify our in-house sound system.

Our church building and grounds were designed and constructed decades ago, and are not as accessible for folks with disabilities or with mobility issues as we would like. The main doors of the church are accessible only by stairs. There is a ramp available towards the front of the church on East Avenue allowing for church entry through the Lady Chapel. There is unfortunately no accessible restroom access from the church. The nearest accessible restroom is in the Chittim-Howell House, the first building on the left-hand side as you enter the driveway.

The first floor of the Chittim-Howell House, home of the ARTWorks Gallery, is fully accessible.

The Warner Center is accessible through the breezeway doors, located straight ahead as you come up the driveway from St. Paul’s Place. The Warner Center contains a fully accessible restroom. The Guild Room is accessible via a small step, or we can provide a ramp on request. The Labyrinth can be reached via a step through the breezeway between the Warner Center and Guild Room.

The Parish Hall and St. Hilda Room are only accessible via staircases: a long staircase down from the church, and a short staircase on the left-hand side of the church exterior.

Accessible parking is reserved just outside of the Chittim-Howell House and the Warner Center. On Sunday mornings, parking is reserved along East Avenue next to the access ramp.
