The Rev. Donald Hamer

The Rev. Donald Hamer retired as Rector of Trinity Episcopal Church, Hartford in 2019 having served there for over 15 years. He presently serves as Priest Associate at St. James’ Episcopal Church in Glastonbury and works with congregations in transition. His theological education includes an MDiv. from Yale Divinity School, a Diplomate in Anglican Studies from the Berkeley Divinity School at Yale (2000) and a Doctor of Ministry degree from Hartford Seminary with a focus on congregational development (2016). He has served as a member of the Core Team of the Racial Healing, Justice and Reconciliation Network and served as convener of the Speakers Bureau. He is presently Co-Convener of the Reparations Task Force of the ECCT. He is married with two adult children and lives with his wife Debbie in Glastonbury.
