Juneteenth Thank you!

Thank you, St. Paul’s family, for showing up to our Juneteenth celebration in numbers. You made our celebration meaningful and memorable. I would also like to say a special thank you to each of you who took the time to participate in our Food of our Father’s Juneteenth potluck.
Thanks to those of you who signed up and brought food with explanations of the origin of the dish, as well as those who simply showed up with a dish to share. What a feast was served and what joy to share in each other’s cultural heritage. Thank you to Rosemary Dellinger for our Juneteenth game and to Nikkya Hargrove for being such an amazing host. We all went away having learnt something new about Freedom Day. Our deepest gratitude to everyone who helped with set up and break down, and special thanks to my Sandy Bria, Lisa Thomas, Christina Carneglia, Serafino Carri and Audrey Cozzarin and our own Ferbian who stayed until the very end to clean up. Thank you also to my Co-Warden Ginny Balser, (and her bartending husband, Steve!). Sincere appreciation as always to Marsha Dunn without whom nothing happens at St. Paul’s and thank you Father Daniel and Father Paul, Will, Josh and the St. Paul’s combined choirs for the wonderful music and liturgy. God does indeed have work for us to do and we have begun. We look forward to making this an annual St. Paul’s family celebration.

With gratitude,

Gail Bindley-Taylor, Co-Warden
