Concerts for our Time: Songs for Lost Souls

March 1, 2020 @ 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Through English and Spanish art song, this program explores modern themes and stories of immigration, and delves into themes of war, migration, separation, and death. Proceeds will go to the Connecticut Institute for Refugees and Immigrants.

With Gene Stenger, tenor, and Kim Leeds, soprano.

The Concerts For Our Time series looks to expand on the usual subjects and composers we hear in performance, in order to challenge the listener and explore those voices that are most relevant to us today. Sponsored by Seabury Academy of Music and the Arts, the nonprofit-in-residence at St. Paul’s, these concerts seek to explore the shared mission of St. Paul’s and Seabury of making exceptional music available to all people.

Concerts are free and open to the public. Donations are welcomed. The Concerts for our Time series will support causes chosen by the performers in line with the mission of their programs. All proceeds beyond the cost of the series will go to benefit those causes.
