The 2016 Presidential campaign provides more than enough material to both contemplate serious issues and laugh uproariously, and Alexandra Petri has helped her readers do quite a bit of both in this election cycle. An opinion writer for the Washington Post and the author of its ComPost blog, Alexandra’s writing deftly combines thought-provoking social commentary with intelligent snark. She comes to St. Paul’s on the Green in Norwalk on Monday, October 17 from 7:30pm – 9:00pm as part of the “Faith in A New Millennium” series to share her favorite observations on the campaign so far and to facilitate a discussion about what is funny in this campaign and how humor can assist us in reflecting meaningfully on the political reality of the moment. Light refreshments will be served.
