Over the past few years, icons have come to play an important role in our space and in our liturgy: they adorn the wall above the High Altar; they mark the places where the healing teams stand; they guide our young people to Children’s Worship.
Icons are “written,” or created, to be used in prayer, but the writing of them is also itself an exercise in prayer. Are you interested in writing your own icon? Experienced iconographer Mary Street, who wrote the icons above the High Altar, is leading a Lenten icon writing workshop at St. Paul’s fromMonday, February 26th to Friday, March 2nd, beginning at 9:00 am and ending at 4:00 pm each day.
A $350 fee covers most materials for the workshop. To register, please contact Assistant Rector Peter Thompson no later than February 1.
