Faithful Cross, Above All Other: The Cross & Crucifixion in Christian Art
The crucifixion was a key event in Christian history, so it should be no surprise that the Cross appears often in Christian art. Felicity Harley-McGowan, Lecturer in Art History at Yale Divinity School and an expert on medieval art, shares a few significant artistic representations of the Cross and explores what they can tell us about the meaning of the Cross in Christian faith.
