The Episcopal Church is a thinking church. We know that it is not always easy to see God's will or to know God's ways. So, we encourage each person to wrestle with tough issues and not accept easy answers. We also know that wrestling is made easier and more beneficial when it is done in community; not in isolation.
As part of our Adult Education opportunities during 2007-2008, we offer two chances to encounter “Episcopal What?" - education about the history, theology, worship practices and poilty of the Episcopal Church. The first, in November 2007, is a full afternoon of immersion from 12:00 noon to 5:00 pm. The second is scheduled for April 2008 and covers the same topics, but in smaller timeframes as a 4-week series. Those considering being confirmed or received into the Episcopal Church in 2008 are especially invited and should plan to attend either the November or April series. Even those of us who were raised as Episcopalians find "Episcopal What?" to be helpful in deepening our understanding and practice of the Anglican faith.
“Episcopal What?” meets in the Guild Room in 2007 on Saturday, November 3rd from 12:00noon - 5:00pm (bring your own lunch; beverages are provided) and in 2008 on Saturdays, April 5, 12, 19, and 26 from 12:30pm to 2:00pm. All "Episcopal What?" sessions are led by Don Krause and Mother Louise.
